Michelle le Roux, Executive Director of Synergi Events, embodies the spirit of creativity, leadership and dedication that defines Namibia’s growing events industry. With nearly three decades of experience, she continues to inspire through her hands-on approach and commitment to excellence.
Michelle's journey in the events management industry began in 1996, and by 2000 she had founded her first company. Her path was driven by a love for working with people, organising experiences and witnessing the rewarding outcome of a successful event. “It’s the passion for people and the end result that keeps me going,” she says.
Without formal studies in event management, Michelle credits life experience and determination for shaping her leadership style. “Only life skills and a passion to make it happen,” she notes, emphasising that success in this field requires resilience, creativity and adaptability.

She describes herself as “easy-going but walk while you talk”, a philosophy rooted in learning through experience and leading by doing. If she could change one thing in her industry, it would be to instil a deeper respect for the craft among the younger generation. “You have to earn respect, not gain it. Be respectful of each other, with or without a title, and most importantly, love what you do.”
