Benny Lizazi turns rural values into 14 years of trusted corporate service

Benny Lizazi has dedicated 14 years to client advisory work at Namibia Administrators in Windhoek, part of MMI Namibia, where he has built a reputation for calm, consistent and reliable service delivery.

Since joining the company in August 2012, he has been responsible for receiving and processing claims from doctors and pharmacies.

In his day-to-day work, Lizazi assesses claims, liaises with service providers and guides clients to ensure smooth, efficient service. The role demands attention to detail, empathy and the ability to resolve complex issues quickly.

Growing up on a farm and in a small village shaped both his character and his approach to work.

“My background taught me the value of hard work and perseverance, which I apply in my daily responsibilities,” he said.

He continues to farm alongside his professional career, a practice he says keeps him grounded and connected to his roots, even as he navigates the fast-paced world of medical aid administration.

“What has made me effective in my work is my ability to give helpful and practical advice," he said.

"I take time to listen, understand different situations and guide people toward the best possible solutions. This skill has allowed me to build strong relationships with both clients and colleagues."

His colleagues often note that his calm, methodical approach makes him a reliable point of contact for both clients and service providers.

Learning is key

He was drawn to the field by the opportunity to work closely with health service providers and to gain a deeper understanding of how medical aid systems operate.

“I believe leadership is about guiding others while continuing to learn yourself; every challenge is an opportunity to grow,” he added, emphasising the importance of continuous learning and professional development.

Lizazi holds a bachelor's degree in public management from NUST, obtained in 2010, and an honours degree in human resources from UNAM, completed in 2012. His academic grounding, he says, has equipped him with the skills to manage complex processes and contribute meaningfully to the organisation's goals.

Looking ahead, Lizazi said: “I see myself continuing to grow within this organisation, contributing to its success while further developing my skills."

He remains committed to the company that has played a significant role in shaping his professional development and personal growth.
