Helen Feldman shapes tomorrow’s leaders

For more than a decade, Helen Feldman has helmed HFL Coaching and Consulting, helping to shape Namibia’s corporate leadership landscape through a rare blend of commercial acumen and human-centred insight.

With over 20 years of executive management experience in logistics and retail, she has built a foundation on “reading a balance sheet” while simultaneously recognising that “business results are ultimately a human endeavour".

This dual perspective became the cornerstone of HFL, an organisation designed to bridge rigorous commercial strategy with high-impact leadership development.

Helen’s academic background is just as strong.

She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master’s in International Business Management (MIBM). On top of that, she is a certified executive, life, transformational, and wellness coach; an etiquette consultant; and an accredited Harrison coach. These qualifications give her both the academic grounding and the practical tools to guide leaders with confidence.

She explained that her work was "inspired by the need to provide technically brilliant professionals with the essential tools that traditional education often overlooks: boardroom etiquette, leadership maturity, and emotional intelligence".

It is this conviction that has driven HFL Coaching and Consulting’s work, ensuring leaders are not just promoted into roles but are truly equipped to thrive.

Honouring human beings

As CEO, her daily responsibilities are a balance of strategy and connection.

“My day is a constant shift between high-level strategy and deep human connection,” Feldman noted.

Whether analysing predictive behavioural data or translating complex insights into actionable growth plans, the focus remains on aligning people with purpose.

Her philosophy of decision-making is equally distinctive. “I solve problems by looking at what I call the ‘Balance of Growth', a philosophy that ensures every decision honours the human beings who actually drive the business forward.”

Challenges are not absent.

One of the greatest hurdles has been bridging the gap between technical expertise and leadership maturity.

Yet, through discipline and empathy, she guides others to step beyond their comfort zones.

Feldman's proudest achievements include establishing HFL as Namibia’s official partner for Harrison Assessments and pioneering 'Boardroom Readiness' initiatives that empower new leaders to command spaces with confidence and grace.

Feldman's motivation comes from witnessing transformation first-hand.

“My motivation comes from the satisfaction of witnessing an individual suddenly ‘click’ and begin to excel,” she said.

This drive keeps the company engaged in professional bodies like Coaches and Mentors of South Africa (Comensa) and the International Coaching Federation (ICF), ensuring its methods remain cutting-edge.

Looking ahead, Feldman's vision is clear: to make HFL the premier partner for talent optimisation in Namibia, equipping every professional with a roadmap for success.

“Our mission is to unlock human potential through personalised coaching and scientific behavioural insights," she concluded.

With values rooted in ethical governance and relentless human capital development, HFL stands unique in its industry, combining predictive analytics with etiquette consulting to produce leaders ready for the global stage.
