David Mbeha: Pioneering Namibia’s creative future
David Mbeha is reshaping how Namibia is seen on the global stage, using creativity and digital innovation to open doors for his country. From his early success as the first African winner of TLC Next Great Presenter to his current ventures in China, Mbeha has consistently focused on amplifying Namibian stories and talent.
In Beijing, Mbeha is connecting Namibia to some of the world’s largest digital audiences. “My hope here in China is to shine the spotlight on creatives like myself, including filmmakers, photographers, fashion designers, digital storytellers and cultural entrepreneurs who have strong narratives but limited access to global distribution,” he says.

Mbeha also brings digital expertise back home. “Through the various workshops I have attended, the biggest lesson is that technology is the future and we must embrace the digital economy,” he explains.
